We are a CFA and TICA registered cattery based in Troutdale, Virginia, dedicated to the ethical breeding and placement of high quality, healthy, and well socialized kittens. Our program currently produces Siamese and Balinese in the following colors: Seal, Blue, Chocolate, and Lilac. Through careful genetic planning and adherence to recognized breed standards, we are actively advancing our lines and anticipate producing the rare colors Cinnamon and Fawn next year.
Our cats come from some of the longest established and most respected bloodlines in the United States. All breeding cats undergo comprehensive DNA testing and are certified free from known genetic disorders, as well as FIV and FeLV. Our breeding program prioritizes health, correct conformation, and exceptional temperament in alignment with breed standards and best practices.
Kittens are raised in a controlled, family oriented environment alongside a Bengal cat, two Great Danes, and two young children, with regular exposure to approved visitors. This early socialization supports confident, well adjusted kittens and a smooth transition into a variety of household settings. Nutritional needs are met with a premium diet consisting of Tiki Cat Kitten dry and wet food.

At Dragonglass Cattery, we are a closed cattery, which means we do not allow visitors into our home or breeding areas. This policy is in place to protect the health and safety of our Balinese kittens, Siamese kittens, and our family. We do not offer stud services at this time.
Why We Limit Visitation
Family Safety: Our cattery is located within our private family home. For privacy and security reasons, we do not permit unknown visitors inside our residence.
Kitten Safety: Unfortunately, there have been instances in the breeding community where kittens or personal items have been stolen. This precaution helps us avoid such risks and ensures a safe environment for our kitten adoption process.
Health Risks: Visitors can unknowingly carry viruses or bacteria on their clothing or shoes, potentially introducing illness into the cattery. This is particularly concerning for our vulnerable Balinese kittens and Siamese kittens.
Stress Prevention: Pregnant or nursing queens, as well as young kittens, are sensitive to unfamiliar scents, sounds, and disturbances. Limiting exposure helps maintain a calm, healthy environment for both mothers and babies, which is essential for ethical breeding.
While we are currently unable to allow in-person visits to Dragonglass Cattery, we hope to explore safe and secure options for limited visitation in the future. In the meantime, we provide frequent photo and video updates of our Balinese kittens and Siamese kittens, and we are happy to arrange live video calls for approved applicants and families with reserved kittens. Our commitment to ethical breeding ensures that each kitten adoption supports a safe, clean, and peaceful environment for our cats. We appreciate your understanding and support during this time.
